Look closely at any Uluwatu app and you’ll find it somewhere: a tiny pixel heart, eleven squares wide, beating softly.

A placeholder that stayed.

It began as a throwaway graphic in an early prototype, something to fill an empty state while we figured out the real design. But people kept mentioning it. “I like the little heart.” “It feels like the app is alive.”

So we kept it.

A promise in eleven pixels.

Over time the heart became a reminder for us as much as for anyone else. It sits in the places where an app does something kind: when you let a thought go, when your dog makes a new friend, when you finish a focus session, when a moving task is done.

Made with care. Made for life.

Engraved, more or less, on the studio door

Why it beats.

A still heart is a logo. A beating one is a small sign of life. We tuned the rhythm until it felt calm rather than urgent, closer to a resting pulse than an alarm. If an app can feel a little more human, it starts there.

With care, the Uluwatu team
